The Bricklayers Arms is now an "award winning" Restaurant, Free House, formerly Ind Coope, Benskins, Owned in 1838 by the Hon. William George Cavendish.
Listed as an 18th-century building, built in 1722, it has been open as a pub for nearly 200 years, with its low ceilings, exposed beams and a real log fire. a warm welcome awaits. During the summer you can enjoy dining "al fresco" on the patio or in the garden.
Under the new ownership of Alvin and Sally Michaels, The Bricklayers Arms was refurbished in early 2004. They have continued to keep the original ambience of this quaint Country free house pub offering a variety of fine real ales, a wine list with over 80 wines and quality foods sourced from local producers. All dishes are freshly prepared and home made where you can enjoy a one course lunch to a full a la carte menu prepared by Executive Head Chef, Claude Paillet and his team of Chef's

The Bricklayers Arms is open from Mid-day daily with the bar open all day throughout the year, serving food from 12 - 2.30pm (Mon - Sat),
12 - 4.00pm on Sundays and every evening from 6.30pm.
The Bricklayers Arms offers a lunch menu till 2.30pm, Monday to Saturday (Sundays - see below) of a wide variety of hot dishes including our renowned Cod in beer batter, Steak and kidney Guinness pie, Spit Roasts to our Matured Fillet Steak with a choice of mouth watering sauces. We offer special dishes, which change daily.
Our Evening Menu is available throughout the restaurant and bar areas where you can sample our Head Chefs, Claude Paillets' award winning creations of a wide choise of Traditional English and French fusion award winning dishes.
Sunday lunch (served from 12 - 4.00pm) is a must for a great traditional Sunday Roast or Spit Roast. You will find a number of Roasts, Fish and vegeterian dishes to suit all tastes. Its advisable to book to avoid disappointment.
In the evening you will find a choice of mouth watering dishes prepared by our team of French and English Chefs with daily specials.
